Catheter occlusion
- All medications should be dissolved in water or administered in liquid preparation. Flushing the catheter with water after administration of medications or nutrient solutions is extremely important.

- During fixation of the intestine to the lateral abdominal wall, care must be taken that it is not kinked. Also, no larger gaps with the risk of an internal hernia should be formed.
