Complications - Resection of an infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm and tube graft interposition

Bleeding

• injured iliac veins -> compression of run-in and run-off, vascular suture
• arterial bleeding -> vascular suture
• injury of the patent inferior mesenteric artery and poor collateralization (see preoperative angiogram, e.g. stenosis of the superior mesenteric artery, insufficient marginal arteries such as the arc of Riolan or the marginal artery of Drummond, occlusion or stenosis of the internal iliac artery bilaterally) -> revascularization because of impending ischaemic colitis
